Academic Levels at Global Sevilla School
The school has four academic levels, starting from early years through pre-university. Here is a closer look at each one:
Early Years
This level is for children aged at least 1.5 to 6 years old. Lessons are taught through engaging games so students stay happy and don't get bored. Children learn letters, numeracy, an understanding of the world, and creative thinking. The level covers 8 areas of learning, including personal, social and emotional development, language and literacy, and reasoning and problem solving.
Available classes are toddler, nursery, and kindergarten 1 to 3. Lessons run Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 12:30.
Primary School
Learning is inquiry-based and follows the Cambridge curriculum, with a strong focus on English, science, and mathematics. In primary school, students are expected to feel more inspired and confident. Beyond academics, Global Sevilla also emphasizes character development, including good manners, respect, communication, care, morals, cooperation, and adaptability.
There are also several extracurricular activities, including basketball, badminton, robotics, chess, drama, arts, cinematography, and more.
Secondary School
This level focuses on research and projects. Creative and innovative learning takes place through experiments, laboratory work, field trips, and much more. In lower secondary, students take Cambridge checkpoint exams in three core subjects: mathematics, science, and English.
In upper secondary, teachers prepare students to achieve strong Cambridge IGCSE results and focus on the national exams. Secondary school extracurriculars include basketball, arts, journalism, chess, Mandarin, debate, radio broadcasting, and more.
Pre-University
The IFY (International Foundation Year) program is designed for Grade 11 students, or Year 2 of senior high school, who want to enter university in business, journalism, IT and design, or hotel and tourism. Students learn the skills needed to be accepted by universities in Indonesia and overseas. The IFY program is recognized by more than 120 higher education institutions worldwide.
