Forklift Rental Prices: Check Lift Height and Capacity First

Forklift rental is no stranger to the logistics industry. A forklift can move goods in large volumes, which makes this heavy equipment highly important. In short, a forklift can do the work of many people, so tasks get done faster and with less strain.

Many companies and large factories choose to rent forklifts instead of buying them. The main reason is to save money, especially when a business cannot yet afford a new forklift.

Today there are many forklift rental providers offering different brands and capacities. Renters need to understand the types of forklifts and their capacities. Why? Because each forklift has different specifications and capacities, and its rental price differs accordingly.

Diesel Forklift. This is the most popular and widely used type. In general, its rental price is the lowest, and it is easy to maintain. Its performance is beyond doubt. A Diesel Forklift can lift loads up to 6 meters high with a maximum capacity of 10 tons.

The drawback is that because it runs on diesel fuel, this heavy equipment is rarely used indoors. Diesel exhaust gases can cause shortness of breath if inhaled in large amounts.

Forklift Gasoline (LPG). This type is fairly eco-friendly because it runs on gas fuel. Its rental price is also affordable. It is designed mainly for indoor operation.

Unfortunately, the Gasoline (LPG) Forklift can only lift 2 meters with a capacity of 2 tons. Another drawback is that renters may struggle to find a gas refill station if the fuel runs out suddenly.

Electric Forklift. This type is widely regarded as the most eco-friendly. Its rechargeable battery runs on electricity, which makes it easier to operate indoors in any conditions.

Its lifting ability is quite good: it can lift up to 6 meters high, while its maximum capacity is 5 tons. Unfortunately, the Electric Forklift cannot run continuously, because its battery lasts less than 8 hours.

Reach Truck Forklift. This forklift is similar to the electric forklift and is powered by electricity. Its battery is also easy to recharge. Its lift height and capacity are not much different. Rental providers tend to recommend this type more often because the Reach Truck Forklift comes with a pallet, which makes moving goods easier.
